Welcome to our new website!!
The Lower Mainland boys Fastpitch league is very excited about this site. We now have a great place for athletes, parents, coaches and associations to get information regarding boy’s fastpitch. Through this website, we are able to advertise and promote the boys program to all.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved with the Lower Mainland Boys committee and league.  After spending several meetings planning, organizing, promoting and sharing ideas, the league is up and going strong.  We are up in our numbers from last season and look forward to increasing each season.  Without the positive attitudes, people who care about the program and the total dedication and commitment from people all over the lower mainland, this league could not happen.

Over the past months, it has been wonderful to hear all the ideas being put forth to keep moving forward with boys fastpitch.  We hope you will help us in spreading the word that boys can play fastpitch at every age and have a great experience doing so!

As we now take to the diamond to enjoy new and old friendships, learn new skills and build on past performances, we all can work together to help grow this sport!!  If you would like more information about the boys program or wish to arrange a game or two, please don’t hesitate to contact anyone on our contact list.

Good luck to all teams this season!
Sincerely,
Tracey Oye

  • Fastpitch, also referred to as fastball, is the boys and men’s version of Softball, the largest participation sport in North America with over 40 million players.
What is Fastpitch?
  • Fastpitch has been around for over 120 years and is often called ‘the game for life”, being played by five year olds to 75 year olds.
  • Fastpitch offers more fun and excitement for the youth players.  The larger diameter ball is hit more often, and the shorter base distances means more action on the diamond
  • Fastpitch is played in over 100 countries, with Canada, USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Europe being the most active.
  • Many athletes like Wayne Gretzsky and major league batting champ Larry Walker played fastpitch.
  • At the top competitive level in the World Championships, the pitching has NO EQUAL.  A batter facing an 85 mph windmill pitch coming from 46 feet has 3/10ths of a second to react.  In baseball, batters have 30% longer to react.
  • Fastpitch offers more fun and excitement for the youth players.  The larger diameter ball is hit more often, and the shorter base distances means more action on the diamond
